鑲嵌在黃河北岸積石山大寺溝西側峭壁上的炳靈寺石窟，始建于西秦建弘元年，展現了中國石窟早、中、晚期壁畫和塑像的發(fā)展演變過程，是中國早期石窟寺的代表之一。

Bingling Temple Grottoes, embedded on the cliff on the west side of Dasigou in Jishi Mountain on the north bank of the Yellow River, were first built in the Jianhong Year of the Western Qin Dynasty. They showcase the evolution of murals and sculptures from the early, middle, to late periods of Chinese grotto art and are one of the representatives of early grotto temples in China.
